Welcome to Red Pig Garden Tools

We have a limited number of our hand forged tools for sale on the internet and hundreds more at our store in Boring.

Take a look around the website to learn more about our unique products.

At Red Pig Tools, we make garden tools the old fashioned way - by hand.  We use steel, fire, an anvil and good honest sweat.  These hand crafted tools are stronger, sharper, and will last longer than any others you can buy.

We also sell hundreds of top quality hand forged garden tools made by companies like Corona, Ames, Union, Seymour, Council and Spear & Jackson, just to name a few.

If we don’t have what you want on hand, we’ll make it for you--right in our blacksmith shop.

If your tools are broken, we can repair and re-handle them.  Dull tools?  We sharpen them.  Tools that don’t fit you?  We’ll modify them.

We also do custom work and will hand forge special orders like trellises, small gates, obelisks, hooks, hangers, latches and other garden hardware.  We’re blacksmiths, after all!

If you're interested in learning more about our products, send an email or call.  Better yet, stop by the shop, you’ll see unique implements and a fine collection of antique garden tools.

Stop by and say hello,

Rita and Bob Denman

3-Tine Weeding Fork
3-Tine Weeding Fork
In the USA, the standard kit of hand tools includes a trowel, a 3-tine cultivator and a fishtail weeder. In merry old England it's a trowel, a dibble and a 3-tine fork. Our three tine fork is a stout one with tines of 7/16 diameter steel hammered and ground to a spear point. The head measures 4 1/2 inches wide (about an inch wider than most.) with 5 1/2 inch-long tines. The two outer tines are rolled forward and their tips tilted slightly inward to produce a cupped configuration for better lifting of plants and bulbs. However, all three points are on about the same plane so you can easily work along a straight line if necessary.
