Thinning HoeA substitute for your thumb and forefinger...and sore knees.
Price: $20.00
Product DescriptionYears ago my mother-in-law, Liz, used to thin my vegetable seedlings for me. (I'm one of those who plant every seed in the packet.) Then she got busy with her own garden and quit on me. Kneeling and pricking out seedlings by hand is not a favored activity of mine or of my knees. So I designed a hoe with a trapezoidal blade. It has one, two, three and four inch edges. You select the edge that corresponds to the gap you want between plants, then deftly slice out the unwanted ones. Yes, some people use it for other tasks, but what it does best is thinning. (P.S. The excess seedlings are great in salads.)Additional Info
