A time saver for row planting

Bob's mother-in-law, Liz, used to thin his vegetable seedlings for him. (He's one of those guys who plants every seed in the packet.) Then she got busy with her own garden and quit on him. Kneeling and pricking out seedlings by hand was not a favored activity of Bob or his knees.

So he designed a hoe with a trapezoidal blade. It has one, two, three, and four inch edges. You select the edge that corresponds to the gap you want between plants, then deftly slice out the unwanted ones. Yes, some people use it for other tasks, but what it does best is thinning. (P.S. The excess seedlings are great in salads.) Overall length about 8-10"
