The Diamond Hoe is an excellent and versatile scuffle hoe for light to medium duty removal of both emerging annual and re-emerging perennial weeds. You use the four sharpened sides to slice through weed roots just below the soil. And the pointed ends of the diamond are perfect for nicking out weeds that are so close to a desirable plant that you may do unwanted damage. While the
long handled version
of this tool has been popular for many years in the Netherlands, and recently so here, no one has made a short handled version of it...until now.

This hoe is fantastic! I've used a long-handled diamond hoe for years, but this works perfectly in my flower beds - it cuts through weeds and soil like butter.

absolute favorite tool!
I have several Red Pig tools in my shed, and 3 are diamond hoes. And this specific handheld one is my absolute favorite. Perfect for sheering off weeds at the soil line in my raised beds. Once you build muscle memory for the size of the blade, it is very easy to maneuver around plants. I can weed a 4'x50' bed in no time! While I prefer to be down on the ground to inspect, the long handled ones work just as well, but I use those for beginning of season prep and end of season cleanup.

I fell in love with this tool! It is simple to use and become comfortable with. This tool has been a life (back) saver for me. I love it and can't wait to add to my collection of Red Pig Tools!
